I see what you did there.

The tsuba of the sword is a little too thick to me, but otherwise, good work.

very nice work =) i like the pose and the style of the mask. he is REALLY staring at the viewer taunting! the silhouette in the background seems to be zangetsu, i hope im right ^.^
considering the detail the main focus of your piece is ichigos mask/head. but then again his shoulders, especially the left one and his out reaching hand look a bit too blury and washed out.his hand should be at least more contrasty since its in the foreground. this way the feel of depth would be even greater =)

Very well done.

I'll agree with CrossMirage that the tsuba of the blade is a bit thick, and I'd also like to add that the hilt of the sword looks a bit too long.

Maybe I'm wrong and just didn't notice in the manga, but I don't think it's quite long enough to go off the bottom of the page like that.


Outside that, however, the pic is done quite well. I assume it's either pastel, or a program that does a really good job imitating pastels.

And yes, it's very sad. I miss 'ossan' as well, and hope that the next 'upgrade' Ichigo gets will have him returning.

I give it an 8 out of 10.

Sig-worthy, IMO.
